Where are your beach sessions located?

All of our kids sessions are run on the King Alfred Beach opposite the King Alfred carpark in Hove, unless the conditions are bad in which case our sessions are held at either Shoreham Harbour or our private pool located in Southwick. We will always let you know in advance if there is a location change.

Our adult group sessions are held on the King Alfred Beach.

Where are your pool sessions located?

Southwick, 10 minutes drive from the King Alfred Beach.
The full address will be provided upon booking.

Is there parking for the beach sessions?

Yes. The car park is located just above the beach beside the King Alfred leisure centre.

Is there parking for the pool sessions?

Yes. There is free on street parking.

How big are your group sea sessions?

Kids Group Sea Sessions: 2 per class for under 8s. Sessions for swimmers 9years+ may be up to 4 swimmers.
Junior OWSC: 4 per class.
Adult OWSC: 8 per class.
Beach to Buoy: 4 per class.

All of our sessions are run by Laura.

How many children are in the pool sessions?

2 swimmers per teacher.

What can I do during my child’s swimming session?

We advise that you stay local, hang out on the beach / by the pool. We ask that you be available at all times.

What kit is needed for the beach sessions?

Kids: Full length well fitted wetsuits are mandatory and your child will not be allowed in the water without one. Sea shoes, swimming hat and goggles are also mandatory.

Adults: wetsuits are advised, unless you are an experienced skins swimmer. Swimming hat, goggles and tow float are mandatory. Sea shoes are optional.

Can we hire wetsuits from you?

We have a small selection of kids wetsuits available to hire for a cost of £5 per session. Please let us know with plenty of notice if this is required. *subject to availability.

Can we hire tow floats from you?

Yes. Please let us know in advance if this is required.

Do I have to wear a swimming cap and goggles?

Yes, these are mandatory. We provide our own Beach Bandit Swimming hats which can be purchased in person or prior to the session. Please provide your own goggles.

Is my kit safe on the beach?

Kids belongings will need to be kept with a parent or guardian during the session.

During our adult sessions, we recommend you place any belongings which you do not wish to leave on the beach (phone, car keys) in a tow float. All other items can be left beside our flag.

What if the weather is bad for my kids beach session?

If the sea conditions are unsafe we will move the session to Kingston Beach at Shoreham Harbour or to our private outdoor pool in Southwick.
If there has been a sewage discharge the sessions will move to our private outdoor pool in Southwick.

If there is thunder and lightening your session will be cancelled and a catch up class will be rescheduled at the earliest convenience for both parties, free of charge.

We will let you know of this change with as much notice as possible.

What if the weather is bad for my adult beach session?

If the sea conditions are unsafe, there has been a sewage discharge or there is thunder and lightening, the session will be cancelled and we will issue you a code that you can use to rebook any other valid session at a time that suits you, free of charge.

Can I cancel my adult beach session?

Yes, up to 24hours ahead of the session. We will issue you a code to re-book another time.

Can I cancel my kids pool or beach session?

If you are unable to attend a sessions, please let us know 24 hours prior to the session. If we can, we will offer a catch-up lesson at an alternative date and time suitable for all parties involved. Please note, this cannot be guaranteed but we will always try our best.

If no notice is given before the lesson, we will not be able to offer a catch-up lesson.

Are you insured?

Absolutely. All of our coaches are fully insured under the required governing body.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Where can I purchase a Beach Bandit Swimming gift voucher?
Gift vouchers can be purchased directly through our website on our online store.

How long are gift vouchers valid for?
Vouchers are valid for the upcoming swimming season (May to October) in the calendar year of purchase. If purchased in November or December, they will be valid for the entire following season.

How do I redeem my gift voucher?
To redeem a gift voucher, please contact us via email at hello@beachbanditswimming.com to arrange your booking.

Can gift vouchers be transferred to another person?
Yes, vouchers are transferable. If you wish to change the recipient, please provide written notification at least 72 hours before the first scheduled session.

Can I get a refund for a gift voucher?
Gift vouchers are non-refundable.

What happens if I can’t use my voucher within the valid season?
Unfortunately, vouchers cannot be carried over to the next season. Please ensure your sessions are booked and completed within the valid timeframe.
